Mr. Nelson currently fulfills the role of Planning Director for LACO. Mr. Nelson served as Senior Development Project Manager for The Danco Group, a Humboldt County-based land development and construction company between 2005 and 2007, and was President of Eureka-based Six Rivers Solar, Inc. between 2003 and 2005. Mr. Nelson was Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from 2000 to 2002, and Vice President from 1998 to 2000 of Destination Villages, LLC, a resort development company based in Santa Barbara, California.

Ms. Hunter is a Senior Planner with LACO Associates. Her primary role at LACO is to manage development projects from the design phase through the regulatory process completion. Prior to joining LACO, Ms. Hunter was employed by the Humboldt County Community Development Services Department, Planning Division, from 1997 to 2008. Throughout this period, Ms. Hunter worked on residential, commercial, and industrial Coastal Development Permits and Conditional Use Permits, Determinations of Status resulting in Certificates and Conditional Certificates of Subdivision Compliance, Minor and Major Subdivisions, Planned Unit Developments, General Plan Amendments and Zone Reclassifications, Lot Line Adjustments, and extensive front-counter public service. Ms. Hunter's ten years of experience in the public sector has resulted in a wide scope of knowledge in the regulation of land use and development, a good working relationship with other agency staff and consulting firms, and a general acceptance by the public, elected and appointed officials, and coworkers.

Mr. Blodgett joined LACO ASSOCIATES (LACO) in January 2000 and serves as a Senior Planner and Project Manager. Prior to joining LACO, Mr. Blodgett was Senior Analyst/Planner for Del Norte County's Community Development Department. During that 6 year period he was the Project Manager of a 6.2 million-dollar sewer rehabilitation project. He was responsible for all aspects of project development beginning with preliminary engineering reports and environmental documents, loan application approval by USDA-Rural Development, Public Hearings, Assessment District formation, interim financing, project construction, and long-term financing. Additionally, he supervised and coordinated the efforts of the consultants and contractors. Mr. Blodgett also coordinated the efforts of County Treasurer, Auditor, and County Counsel on project financing and presented reports to the Board of Supervisors on a regular basis during the 5-year duration of the project.

Ms. MacClelland joined LACO Associates in May 2004 as an intern to the Senior Planner. As of January 2005, Ms. MacClelland began a full-time position with LACO and now after four years she holds the role of Associate Planner.
Ms. MacClelland has 4 years of local agency permitting experience, including researching and preparing a variety of planning permit development applications for the County of Humboldt, the California Coastal Commission, the County of Del Norte, US Army Corps of Engineers, Dept of Fish and Game, Regional Water Quality Control Board and other public and regulatory agencies. Some of her projects have included: conditional use permits, coastal development permits, special permits, parcel map subdivisions and final map subdivisions, planned unit developments, lot line adjustments, and design review.
